What’s on the nightstand already! Okay there’s no reason to yell. I know, I know it’s been a while since I blogged so stop giving me the stink eye. Vacation with the family in Laurel last week was so jam-packed I decided to let the blog ride until we returned home. But I’m back now and boy did I have some reading fun while we were gone! Six, count ‘em six, books finished in one week toward my goal of 100 per year. I think six is actually a personal record for me. We water parked, VBS’d, ATV’d, visited with friends, played and swam ourselves silly everyday then collapsed every night. It. Was. Awesome!

Now because there are so many books on this nightstand post I’ll shut up and get to the books.
Till then,
Katie
MARKED, BETRAYED, CHOSEN, UNTAMED, HUNTED, TEMPTED, BURNED and AWAKENED
All these titles are by P.C. and Kristen Cast
These are part of the House of Night series. Zoey Redbird and the gang are exellent characters and I enjoyed each book quite a bit. I’ve completed all the available books so far and anticipate the next book this fall. Of the huge cast, Aphrodite has taken me over with her constant dose of snarky funny. If you enjoy paranormal romance, this is a great vampire series to dive into. (pictured left, P.C. and Kristen Cast) For more information on their work, visit their website. http://www.pccast.net/
SHADOWLAND by Alyson Noël

ROT AND RUIN by Jonathan Maberry

A GREAT AND TERRIBLE BEAUTY, REBEL ANGELS and THE FAR SWEET THING
All three titles by LIbba Bray.

Anita is back and kicking some serious butt. It was good to see her return to her hard-core roots in this 20th Anita Blake book. She’s a different Anita now because she’s in love so she’s got a blossoming soft edge to the character that I’ve always enjoyed in Laurell’s writing. She’s one of my favorite authors. I own all this series J YAY! I think I read that a Merry book will be next for Laurell but don’t quote me on that. Maureen is a new discovery for me and I’m loving her! Devilish is a sharp read and I enjoyed it immensely. Check out her most recent title THE NAME OF THE STAR, follow her on twitter @maureenjohnson and for more info see her website. http://www.maureenjohnsonbooks.com/index1.html
